Babies First, Inc.

If you had told me 3 years ago that I would start a nonprofit organization, I would never have believed you. I was driven to start Babies First, Inc. for the same reason most people start nonprofits - personal experience. My time as a new, full-time working mom was full of so much stress and anxiety. 

One of the biggest struggles I faced was finding high-quality childcare for my son I could afford. This journey was long and eye-opening. The more research I did into the childcare industry and our State regulations, the more I knew there had to be a better way. Everyone involved in childcare (the providers, parents, the children, the workers, etc.) was struggling. Our mission at Babies First, Inc. was to improve the health of families through high-quality childcare, parent support, and parent education. We were a 501c3 nonprofit for over 2 years. We made great partnerships and were able to conduct activities to help families. 

Unfortunately, we ended up dissolving the organization in 2024. I still believe in this mission and the fact that working families need more support from the community. Even though we were not able to continue our mission and activities, we were excited to provide the funds we raised to an amazing organization making an incredible difference in their community.
